HI, I'M CAMRIE
I started Lemon Leash so dogs in Cache Valley could get groomed somewhere calm, clean and all about them, and so they'd actually be excited to see the groomer coming.
FROM RANCH DOGS TO DOODLES
I grew up in Oakley, Idaho, in a family of ranchers and cattlemen, so animals have always been part of my everyday life. I earned my bachelor's degree in agricultural science and then spent two years working as a vet tech.
Working in a clinic, I saw how many dogs dread grooming. A lot of groomers work in the same building as the vet, so the smells and sounds tell a dog that something scary is coming. I wanted to change that.
I'm trained in Fear Free handling, which focuses on reducing fear, anxiety and stress for pets during care. Every groom on the truck is one-on-one, at your dog's pace, with no other dogs barking nearby.
WE BUILT THE TRUCK OURSELVES
Over the spring and summer of 2026, my husband Kaylor (a Cache Valley local) and I turned a box truck into a full grooming salon. It took a lot of long nights, planning and learning new trades. I learned to use a miter saw. I also learned I apparently can't hold a flashlight still.
We insulated and plumbed the whole truck, poured epoxy floors, added running water, heat and AC, and put in new doors and windows. With some help from family, we even wrapped it ourselves. Lemon Leash officially hit the road in August 2026.
WHY "LEMON LEASH"?
We wanted a name that feels the way your dog does after a groom: clean, fresh and bright. Lemons, pink stripes and a happy pup at the door. That's the whole idea.
WHAT I WANT FOR YOUR DOG
- To come out of the truck beaming, fresh and clean.
- To be treated gently and never rushed.
- To stop being scared of the groomer, and maybe even run to the pink truck.
